Build up the global church by investing in servant leaders

Christie and I are incredibly grateful for your partnership all these years. On the eve of our retirement, would you consider a last gift to one of these important projects?

1) DAI’s Ministry Center in Haiti

Lasting peace will come to Haiti only through capable servant leaders who put the interests of their people first. Partner with the courageous work of Director Enel Angervil and his team to invest in the future of this wonderful country. Our goal is to raise $60,000 for DAI Haiti.

2) DAI’s Ministry Center in Sri Lanka

DAI Lanka, which Christie and I also played a role in launching, is doing incredible work around the island. Top Christian leaders are equipped through DAI’s master’s program, youth are trained to be future leaders, and rural pastors are empowered with leadership workshops. Help us raise $40,000 to support Pastor Kendall and his team through local economic difficulties.

3) Borthwick travel fund for future DAI travel

This fund would help us make international ministry trips to serve the DAI family and represent DAI in larger global contexts like the Lausanne Movement, the World Evangelical Alliance, and more. Our 2025 goal for this project is $10,000, which could last us into 2026.

Together we are transforming communities by training and equipping Christian leaders around the world.

How are donations used?

Donations are used to pay for the ministry activities of the organization according to the budget approved by the Board of Directors and designed to help DAI fulfill its mission. Any donation to DAI designated for the ministry of specific individuals or projects is honored as long as it falls within the board-approved budget.

What financial accountability do you have?

The Development Associates International staff manage the work of DAI, but an independent Board of Directors oversees it. That board annually hires an independent auditor to do a complete financial audit. The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust, certified DAI due to adherence to ECFA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship, indicating that we excel in effectively and ethically managing our finances.

What is the Mission and Vision of DAI?

Development Associates International enhances the integrity and effectiveness of Christian leaders worldwide so that the Church can fulfill its role in extending the Kingdom of God. We are committed to effectiveness, integrity, humility, partnering, mentoring, holism, biblical standards, and reaching those with the least access. This is done through four areas of ministry: educating, consulting, mentoring and connecting.

How is DAI funded?

DAI is funded entirely by voluntary contributions from friends, foundations, churches, and corporations who want to partner with DAI to advance the servant leadership model of Jesus Christ.
