Overview
Transformational leadership is greatly needed in this region suffering from inequality, injustice, crime, and immorality.
Latin America is in need of new leadership that stands apart from the “Big Boss” model and addresses the prevalent corruption and distrust of leaders. The Church is fast growing along with their power and influence in society and government. Leaders lack a clear vision and mission in many of their organizations and churches and are in great need for skills in strategic planning. They also struggle with the application of Biblical truth and ethics in ministry and the workplace, as it is opposite of the cultural norm. Many are also struggling with marriage and family relationships.
DAI’s Response
Translation of formal and non-formal courses into Spanish has enabled DAI to begin introducing the much needed training throughout this region, in partnership with local churches and Christian groups in response to needs they have identified.

History of DAI in the Region
Beginning in 2008 DAI began meeting with pastors and organizational leaders to assess the needs and issues in the region. The results of the research indicated that there was a need and desire for the type of leadership development DAI had been offering in other parts of the world. The issues and needs identified closely matched the list of DAI’s leadership courses. We began translation of the course materials into Spanish in 2009 and began offering workshops later that year.
